Soapbox was my proposed identity for the Manchester School of Art Graphic Design Degree Show 2021. The identity is based around the concept of soapboxing, when a public speaker uses an upturned box as a makeshift stage. The idea was to give students their own platform to elevate their voices, to promote themselves and their work, and to have an opportunity to discuss issues important to them.
Hoardings and stickers direct people towards the show, using graffiti as a nod to activism and the attitudes of the art school. The CMYK colour palette references the printing process, a vital tool in allowing designers to spread their messages. The box logo references both shipping crates and the Photoshop frame tool.
